Welcome to the Wire Wheels Blog! The first thing I want to do is to thank everyone who help keep the Wire Wheels Club project alive: the Patreon members, artists and hobbysts who have purchased advanced models and those who share and spread the website on social networks. As of today, the models have been downloaded more than 200K times, which is amazing considering that there are not too many available and I don’t give them much publicity. It is a great joy to see the acceptance and support that the project receives every day, and that motivates me to continue adding more resources to the website, even though I barely have free time for it.
That being said, let’s get to the presentations!
Wire Wheels Blog
Maybe someone will wonder why I decided to open a Blog. The answer is not very complicated, I simply thought it was the best way to concentrate all the information regarding the Project in one place. At first I used Facebook, but the popularity of social networks comes and goes, and not everyone has access to them or the desire to use them, so a Blog is a good way to keep up to date with the news without needing registration, evade censorship, or share personal data with no one knows who.
In this Blog I will present the new models that are published on the web, I will comment on some relevant news from the world of 3D and perhaps I will be encouraged to share some tips and tricks about modeling, rendering and automotive CGI in general… I hope they are interesting!
Wire Wheels Club Store
This is probably the biggest news of the Wire Wheels Club project so far this year: our new official store! From now on, store.wirewheelsclub.com will be the go-to store for Advanced models, with exclusive offers, discounts for Patreon members, and some occasional surprises that will only be available here!
A self owned store requires a lot of work and dedication, but after spending time weighing the pros and cons, I decided that it was time to take the step and establish a store independent of the usual marketplaces, where the management and decisions that affect our resources depend on other people outside the Project. With this I do not mean that the models will no longer be available on platforms such as Gumroad, ArtStation or CG Trader, we simply wanted to have an independent site where control is ours.
The operation is as simple as any other online store, 100% secure and with the same quality as always. I hope to see you here a lot!
